The IDA Program helps you open the door to home-ownership. The IDA program is a 4:1 match savings account. You, as a participant, save up to $1,000 and receive a match of $4,000. This gives you a total of $5,000 for down payment and closing cost assistance towards the purchase of your first home.
Owning a home is a major financial responsibility. MBOH encourages prospective homebuyers to take homebuyer education before beginning the process of qualifying for a loan or searching for a home. Many MBOH programs require homebuyer education.
