I have a month to month lease. Can my landlord make me move in 30 days?

Yes. If you have a month-to-month rental for your apartment or rental house, then your landlord can tell you to move out in 30 days. (The laws for mobile home lot rentals are different.)  Your landlord doesn't have to have a reason for asking you to move.  Your landlord has to give you a written notice to move.  You also have the right to also end your month-to-month rental in 30 days for no reason.  To do this, give your landlord a written notice 30 days before you want to move out.  For links to forms, information, and resources for landlord-tenant issues, click here.
