Debt Dispute Letter (write-in-the-blanks)

Authored By: MLSA

If a debt collector is trying to collect a debt they say you owe for personal, family or household costs and you do not believe you owe some or all of the debt, you can use this form to ask the debt collector to explain why they think you owe the debt. If you haven't received a debt validation notice from the debt collector yet, you may want to send a 'Debt Validation Letter' first.
