Question:
My landlord won=t fix the heat. Do I still have to pay rent?
Answer:
Yes.You must pay your rent even if your landlord has not fixed the heat problem. To get the problem fixed, you may have to ask a court to help you. If it is winter and you could be hurt by the cold before you can ask a court to help, you can have the repair made by a qualified repairperson. Then you can subtract the cost of the repair from the next month=s rent. For more information, click here.
