Prairie CASA-GAL advocates are trained to speak for the child in Court proceedings involving abuse and neglect cases. The advocate serves as the eyes and ears for the Court, representing their best interest for a safe and permanent home. The Courts also utilize the services of the trained advocates to conduct investigations in parenting and dissolution matters, however the services for these can be assessed to parties, whereas in child abuse and neglect matters the services are on a volunteer basis.
